Friday, Oct. 1

12:57 a.m. A traffic stop was made near 12th Street and Bob Adams Drive. Tickets were given for minors in possession of alcohol, possession of less than an ounce of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

2:22 p.m. Two longtime friends reportedly got into a fist fight in the 500 block of Lincoln Avenue. The fight reportedly was sparked by politics.

10:02 a.m. A woman was injured in a one-vehicle accident near mile marker 112 on U.S. Highway 40. The woman was taken to Yampa Valley Medical Center with moderate injuries. She was treated and released.

11:36 a.m. A forced entry was reported in a school building in the 300 block of Seventh Street. Nothing was found missing.

2:31 p.m. A two-vehicle, noninjury accident was reported in the 300 block of River Road.

3:19 p.m. A suspicious person was reported in the 300 block of Seventh Street.

3:59 p.m. A two-vehicle, noninjury accident was reported near 13th Street and Lincoln Avenue.

6:16 p.m. A $30 gas skip was reported in the 2000 block of Curve Plaza.

10:18 p.m. A report of a loud party in the 300 block of Sixth Street was made. When Steamboat Springs police arrived at the residence, the lights were off and no one was home.

11:26 p.m. A person was arrested on U.S. Highway 40 near Walton Creek Road on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol.
