1:36 a.m. A suspicious person reportedly was walking on Routt County Road 129. A Routt County Sheriff's Office deputy located the individual and provided the person with a ride.
9:35 a.m. A car accident was reported at Soroco High School in Oak Creek. The car, which slid off the road, was not damaged.
11:22 a.m. A man shoveling snow in the 1200 block of Sparta Plaza told Steamboat Springs Police dogs were harassing him. Police located the owner of the animals and issued a warning.
11:32 a.m. An ambulance was requested in the 600 block of Pine Street for a woman who slipped on ice and hit her head. She was transported to Yampa Valley Medical Center, and her condition was unknown.
12:29 p.m. A man found two purses on the Yampa River Core Trail near Yampa and Eighth streets. Officers contacted the owners of the purses, both of whom were unaware their purses were missing. Several gift certificates were taken from one of the purses, but no credit cards or other valuables were stolen. Both purses were taken from unlocked vehicles parked in the lot bordering Eighth and Pine streets.
12:41 p.m. A vehicle complaint was made from U.S. Highway 40 near Cook Chevrolet. A car reportedly was passing illegally. Police were unable to locate the vehicle.
2:04 p.m. A cell phone was reported either lost or stolen from Maple Street. A report was taken.
4:03 p.m. A vehicle complaint was made in the 2500 block of Longthong Road, where a piece of construction equipment was parked on the street. Police determined the vehicle wasn't blocking traffic.
