Frances B. Petranovich

Former Routt County resident Frances B. Petranovich passed away Aug. 31, 2004, after a lengthy illness. She was 77.
Frances was born Aug. 21, 1927, in Denver to Victor Samuel and Anna Katherine Pierce. She was the second of six children.
Frances married Marion Petranovich on Feb. 12, 1947, in Steamboat Springs. The couple had three children.
Frances was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses on April 1, 1952, and served for 11 years as a pioneer in the Ogden Central Congregation.
She moved to Fresno, Calif., in 1995 after her husband's death. She lived there for eight years and was a member of the Sierra View Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses.
Frances worked for Samuels, J.C. Penney Co. and the Internal Revenue Service as a tax collector.
Always neat in her dress and immaculate in her personal appearance, Frances was "one classy lady," according to her children.
She is survived by a son, Wayne Petranovich and his wife Debbie; two daughters, Beverly Moulding and her husband James, and Nanette Homen and her husband Mark; two sisters, Darlene Adair and Joan Zimmerman; a brother, Tony Cesko; 15 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Memorial services were held Sept. 4, 2004, at the Sierra View Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Fresno. Graveside services were held Sept. 24, 2004, at Palisade Cemetery in Palisade.
