DOW solicits comments about fishing regulations

You talk and the Colorado Division of Wildlife will listen at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Carpenter Ranch, four miles east of Hayden.

The DOW has begun a comprehensive review of fishing regulations for 2006 to 2010. As part of the process, DOW staff are holding meetings across the state, including the session this week at the Carpenter Ranch to listen to public comments about current fishing regulations and fishery management issues. This is the time for the public to suggest changes in regional and statewide regulations. Suggestions will be recorded and will become part of a report to the Colorado Wildlife Commission.

Church holding annual holiday bazaar Saturday

Holy Name Catholic Church is hosting its seventh annual Work of Human Hands Holiday Bazaar from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and from 9 to 10 a.m. Sunday in the Parish Hall Basement, 504 Oak St.

Hayden holding Christmas event at 7 p.m. Dec. 4

The town of Hayden is presenting an evening of "Christmas Spirit and Community Harmony" at 7 p.m. Dec. 4 at "The Tree" on Fourth Street and Jefferson Avenue in downtown Hayden. There will be a candle-light service followed by refreshments and a visit from Santa. This event is sponsored by the Hayden Recreation Board.

Hayden Senior Holiday Friendship Tea is Dec. 11

The fourth annual Hayden Senior Holiday Friendship Tea is Dec. 11. Entertainment will be provided on the harp and piano by Andrea Erickson.

The tea will be at 1:30 p.m. at The Haven. The tea is sponsored by the Hayden Recreation Board and The Haven.

Streetscape workshop takes place at 8 Friday

The 2004 Lincoln Avenue Streetscape Workshop is from 8 to 10 a.m. Friday in Centennial Hall. This is the third in a series of workshops with award-winning architect Dennis Humphries to discuss design perspectives on Lincoln Avenue, including vitality, character, architecture, retail flow and historic preservation.
