Information sought on homeschool graduates
To ensure complete coverage of Routt County's graduating high school seniors, the Steamboat Pilot & Today is seeking information about homeschooled students who are graduating this spring. Memorial day Fun Shoot Sunday at Hogue Ranch
Three Quarter Circles Sporting Clays is hosting a Memorial Day Fun Shoot starting at 9:30 a.m. Sunday at the Hogue Ranch, six miles west of Steamboat Springs. Rental guns, ammo, instruction and golf carts are available. Participants should bring their own meat, and the ranch will supply the grills, sodas and condiments. Register by Saturday. Call 879-5649.
Auditions for A Chorus Line on June 14 and 15
Auditions for A Chorus Line will take place from 5 to 8 p.m., June 14 (dance) and June 15 (acting and singing) at Steamboat Springs High School. They are seeking community actors, dancers and singers, including an off-stage chorus, who are 14 and older for the inaugural summer show July 22 to 24. Everyone auditioning should prepare a 30- to 60-second monologue and part of a song. YVMC Community Health Resource Center hours
The Community Health Resource Center at Yampa Valley Medical Center will change its hours of operation for the summer. Beginning Tuesday, its summer hours will be 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. weekdays and 1 to 4 p.m. Saturdays.
Western art auction
will benefit playground
A mixed-media Western art auction to benefit the Family Development Center and Discovery Learning Center's playground improvement project starts with a preview at 6 p.m. and a live auction at 7 p.m. today at the Steamboat Grand Ballroom. Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door and include hors d'oeurves, dessert and wine. Call 879-7330.
Hoffman will be in town for art show, workshop

Bible school program
to be held July 7 to 11
Lava Lave Island Vacation Bible School program for children ages 3 through sixth grade will be held from 9 to 11:30 a.m., July 7 to 11, at the Yampa Bible Church in Yampa. Registration is free and takes place at 8:30 a.m. Monday at the church. Call 638-4411.
Volunteers needed for
Rio 24-hour bike race
The Rio 24 Hours of Steamboat bike race is seeking volunteers to help with the event June 12 and 13. Course marshals, emergency personnel, timers, aid-station workers and other volunteers are needed. Register at Sore Saddle Cyclery or call 879-1675.
Gymkhana Club meets
at arena starting June 10
The Routt County Gymkhana Club begins meeting June 10 at the Brent Romick Rodeo Arena, offering barrel racing, pole bending and fun for riders of all ages and abilities. Call 879-2963.
Weather service seeks
volunteer weather observer
The National Weather Service is looking for a volunteer weather observer to take and record daily weather readings in Steamboat Springs; specifically, in the area to the northeast of U.S. Highway 40 at an elevation of about 6,770 feet.
