Fund-raiser held for
volunteer going to Africa
An African dance fund-raiser and send-off party for Sally Hertzog, who is going to Tanzania for two months to volunteer at the Amani Children's Home for AIDS orphans and autistic children, takes place from 6 to 9 p.m. today at The Center for Movement Arts. YVMC will sponsor a blood drive Thursday

23rd Steamboat Marathon seeking volunteers

Weather service seeking volunteer observer
The National Weather Service is looking for a volunteer weather observer to take and record daily weather readings in Steamboat Springs; specifically, in the area to the northeast of U.S. Highway 40 at an elevation of about 6770 feet.
The volunteer will be supplied with a digital thermometer to record high and low temperatures, and a rain gauge to record rain. Snow measurements also are needed. The observations will continue the official records which began in 1891.

Volunteers needed for Shabby Chic Garage Sale
