Nancy Irene Dillingham

Former Oak Creek resident Nancy Dillingham passed away March 26, 2004, at her home. She was 67.

Nancy was born Aug. 4, 1936, in Denver to Clayborne and Antionette Dillingham.

She moved to Oak Creek in the 1960s, and then to Grand Junction, where she worked as a nutritionist and owned two antique stores.

When her children were grown, her heart led her to become a foster parent. Nancy touched the lives of many young girls.

She spent the final hours of her life with family, friends and several of the girls whom she raised over the years.

Nancy is survived by three daughters, Debra Zamora of Grand Junction, Terry Commander and Robin Gonzales of Grand Junction; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

A memorial service was held April 3, 2004.
