Kindergarten program up in air

The future of an all-day kindergarten program for Hayden students should be clearer Wednesday, when Hayden Valley Elementary School Principal Mike Luppes makes his recommendation to the School Board.

Thursday, May 13 1:26 a.m. A suspicious incident was reported at 7-11. A girl called police requesting to talk with an officer, and then the phone was disconnected. Police could not locate the girl.

Volunteers needed for 23rd Steamboat Marathon Volunteers are needed to help June 5 and 6 for the 23rd annual Steamboat Marathon. Volunteers will receive an official event T-shirt and lunch on race day. Call 879-0882, ext. 203.

Impact fees up for discussion

To fund road improvements, emergency services and other necessities in areas such as Stagecoach and Steamboat Lake, the county may implement impact fees. Residents will have a chance to comment on the proposal at a meeting scheduled for Monday evening.

Oak Creek asks for planning volunteers

The town of Oak Creek is asking residents who want to serve on the town's Planning Commission to submit letters of interest so new members can be chosen by June 10.
