Student to attend national conference

Steamboat Springs

Florence Van Baak of Steamboat Springs was selected to participate in the 2004 National Student Leadership Conference, where about 8,000 high school students from across the United States and from 45 foreign countries will study, experience and develop leadership skills and traits.

The program is designed to help students think on their feet, engage in critical analysis and communicate effectively. The NSLC offers leadership conferences in a variety of fields, including law and advocacy, medicine and health care, and intelligence and national security.

Geldmeier makes dean's list at UNC

Meredith Geldmeier, a 2002 graduate of Christian Heritage School, made the dean's list at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill for the fall semester of 2003. Meredith also was accepted into the UNC School of Journalism. She is the daughter of Warren and Jody Geldmeier.
