Work session tonight on subdivision regulations

The Routt County Planning Commission will have its second work session on the county's zoning and subdivision regulations update tonight.

The Planning Commission plans to complete its look at the updated zoning regulations and begin on the subdivision regulations, County Planner John Eastman said.

"Anyone who is interested in making comments or suggestions is encouraged to come out," Eastman said.

The update reduced the regulations by more than 140 pages through reorganizing information, consolidating redundant information and using more tables and charts. It also includes various updates based on changes and resident's requests during the past few decades.

The Planning Commission also will hear a permit for accommodations and food service at the Motherwell Ranch and a replat to create a townhome in Heritage Park.

The Routt County Planning Commission meets at 6 p.m. in the Hearing Room of the Routt County Courthouse annex in downtown Steamboat Springs.
