Longtime Routt County and Moffat County resident Dalpha Jane Decker Zimmerman died June 5, 2004, in Craig. She was 77.

Dalpha was born Jan. 5, 1927, in Hayden to Harry W. and Ruth Decker. She grew up in Phippsburg, Toponas, Yampa and Hayden. She moved to Craig in 1945.

Dalpha briefly was married to William Ellifritz.

She married George W. Zimmerman on April 24, 1948, in Craig.

She was preceded in death by her husband; a son, George Willis Zimmerman; a daughter, Tracy Zimmerman; a granddaughter, Kelley Ann Zimmerman; her parents; and two brothers, Lane and Kent Decker.

Dalpha is survived by four daughters, Kathy Montgomery and her husband, Jim, of Kasilof, Alaska, Ella Mae Becker and her husband, John, of Casper, Wyo.; Mable Brogdin and her husband, Bill, of Casper, Wyo., and Marlene Lorrigan of Craig; two sisters, Stella Love and her husband, Paul, of Benson, Ariz., and Ellen Randolph and her husband, Bill, of Las Vegas; three brothers, Charlie Decker and his wife, Iva, Lee Decker and his wife, Sharon, and Dart Decker and his wife, Cece, all of Craig; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services were held June 9, 2004, at the Craig Cemetery.
