Soundoff for July 25

The city just approved another $260,000 for the ski jump. I wonder if the paper could review the cost of the ski jump and the number of athletes who are expected to use these jumps to determine the cost per athlete. Let's not forget that, for the kids who are not in the Winter Sports Club, it could buy five skate-parks for seasonal use for other kids who are loitering now and causing our city harm. Maybe Steamboat Springs should be renamed "Ski Jump Town USA."

Pat Barber (1937 -- 2004)

Pat was born July 7, 1937, to Cyril Justus Barber and Imogene Elizabeth Heid in Dr. Willett's hospital on Seventh Street. He was raised on a ranch in Steamboat.
