ArtWalk from 2 to 8 today

ArtWalk features regional fine artists and entertainers from 2 to 8 p.m. today at Torian Plum Plaza on the mountain. There will be painting, jewelry, sculpture, handcrafted furniture, photography, glassblowing, pottery and a farmer's market accompanied by live jazz at the outdoor event.

Free yoga classes offered

Saturday is Yoga Day U.S.A., and the Yoga Rx Studio at Bear River Center is celebrating by offering seven free yoga classes throughout the weekend. On Saturday, beginning yoga is at 10 a.m., yoga for children 3 to 10 is at 11:45 a.m. and yoga for children 11 and older is at 1 p.m. On Sunday, an all-levels class is at 10:30 a.m., vigorous hot yoga is at noon, intermediate yoga is at 1:30 p.m., and gentle yoga is at 3 p.m. Visit www.yogarxstudio.com or call 879-2990 for more information.

Ideus reception held Saturday

T.E.I. Fine Art in Torian Plum Plaza is hosting an artist's reception for painter Michelle Ideus at 6 p.m. Saturday. Ideus paints colorful horses and Yampa Valley scenes in acrylics and mixed media, and her work will be on display at T.E.I. Fine Art throughout the summer. Call 879-2240.

Painting class Aug. 2 to 4

Jean Perry is teaching a plein-air painting workshop from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. from Aug. 2 to 4 during the Beaux Arts Festival. The workshop starts at the Depot Art Center each day, emphasizes the joys and hardships of painting on location and ends with a critique of the students' work. The cost is $300 a person.
