Two teachers receive grant
Steamboat Springs
The Education Fund Board's Technology Commission awarded a special grant last week to high school science teachers Cindy Gay and Nat Cooper for achieving National Board Certification with the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards. The grants, in the amount of $250 apiece, can be used by the teachers for their choosing as long as the money is spent on education-related items. This is the first year the Technology Commission has awarded the special grants. The commission hopes to make the grants an annual event to recognize teaching excellence in technology-related areas.
