Q. When did you move to Routt County and what brought you here?
A. 1995. Dr. Sam (Taliaferro) hired me fresh out of vet school. (I'm still not sure he ever read my resume, though.)
Q. What's the biggest risk you've taken recently?
A. Building a new veterinary hospital.
Q. Describe your morning routine.
A. Snowshoe with dogs (or sleep through alarm), shower, feed dogs, feed cats, forget to feed myself but remember coffee, off to work.
Q. Have you ever had a book change your life? What was it and why?
A. "Clan of the Cave Bear." I read it when I was fairly young.
Q. What's the best piece of advice you've ever been given?
A. "Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around every once in awhile, you could miss it." Ferris Bueller
Q. When you meet someone new, what are the first three things you tell them about yourself?
A. Name, recreational activities, occupation
Q. When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
A. Veterinarian
Q. What kind of music did you listen to in high school? What kind of music do you listen to now?
A. Then: Depeche Mode, New Order, Erasure ... Now: Anything but rap.
Q. If you could invite any four people over for dinner, who would they be, what would you serve and what would you talk about?
A. Andy Jacobi, Dennis Miller, Jimmy Buffet and Magic Johnson. Lobster and steak and a whole bunch of fine wine (but someone else has to cook -- see below)
Q. In the Meatloaf song, "I'll do anything for love, but I won't do that." What is "that"?
A. Cook dinner ( you wouldn't want me to)

A. Pets
Q. What is your first memory?
A. Learning to tie my shoes.
