Congressman Udall will speak Jan. 31 in 'Boat
Congressman Mark Udall will be the breakfast speaker at 10 a.m. Jan. 31, at Olympian Hall in Steamboat Springs when the Community Alliance of the Yampa Valley and Western Colorado Congress host their annual gathering.
Udall will discuss his proposed legislation intended to help protect Colorado landowners and the state's public lands.
The Community Alliance and Western Colorado Congress are supportive of Udall's legislative efforts to ensure surface owner protections from mineral development under their property, as well as his efforts to establish a uniform national process for filing mining road claims on federal lands.
The event is open to the public.
Rob Dick launches
real estate career
Tony Walton, managing broker at Mason & Morse Real Estate, has announced that Rob Dick has joined the firm.

Public invited to
The Steamboat Springs Chamber Resort Association is inviting the public to join it in a "Genuine Bash" intended to recognize outstanding graduates of its customer service training program.
The Genuine Bash will take place Tuesday at Howelsen Hill and will offer free skiing, pizza and beer. The party begins with skiing at Howelsen from 6 to 8 p.m. followed by pizza and beer in Olympian Hall from 8 to 9.
