The Steamboat Springs Alpine team posted solid finishes at a slalom race held Friday in Winter Park.
Middle Park High School hosted the event, but Vail's Duncan Robinson took first in the boys' slalom, while Summit's Katie Hartman convincingly won the girls' race.
The Sailors, meanwhile, placed four boys in the top 20, while the girls' team had four girls finish among the top 26.
Robyn Dye led the way for Steamboat, coming in second with a combined time of 1 minute, 29.5 seconds between her two slalom runs.
Kathleen Lyon was fifth at 1:33.2; Brittany Lamb finished 10th at 1:36.6, and Katie Conrath, also a Nordic skier, was 26th at 1:43.3
Priska Sorensen also raced for Steamboat but did not start her second run.
Hartman's winning time was 1:27.9.
On the boys' side, Thomas Allen skied to a fifth-place finish to lead Steamboat. His time of 1:25.7 was just five-tenths off a third-place result.
Jeff Dye and Andrew Zopf came in ninth and 10th, respectively. Dye's time was 1:27.8 and Zopf finished in 1:29.6
Ian Landy came in 20th with a combined time of 1:34.2 to round out the Sailors' skiers who finished both slalom runs.
Andrew Goss also competed for Steamboat but did not finish his first run.
Robinson's winning time was 1:21.4
The Steamboat Springs Alpine team returns to the slopes at 9:30 a.m. Friday in Loveland for a giant slalom race hosted by Clear Creek High School.
