Horizons seeks volunteers for adaptive ski program

Horizons Specialized Services needs volunteers for its annual adaptive ski program.

Volunteers will assist Horizons clients with skiing and snowboarding on Saturday afternoons during February and March.

Volunteers do not need a Steamboat Ski Pass to participate.

Several new yoga classes offered at CMC

Several new yoga classes are being offered in town. Colorado Mountain College offers a beginning yoga class from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Mondays and 12:15 to 2:15 Thursdays. The cost is $41. Call 870-4444.

Dance theater is offering scholarships to students

Steamboat Dance Theatre is soliciting applications for its dance scholarship program. Scholarships ranging from $25 to $300, depending on funding availability, are offered to students with any dance teacher on a confidential financial-need basis. Applications accepted from any instructor; students should speak to their instructor if interested. Funds may be available on an ongoing basis.

Library introduces 'Babytime' program

Bud Werner Memorial Library welcomes parents and babies 20 months and younger to "Babytime," a new program starting Jan. 31.

Babytime can enhance a baby's language skills through rhymes, Mother Goose and simple books. This drop-in program is free, and no registration is required. Babytime for pre-walkers is from 10 to 10:30 a.m.; Babytime for walkers is from 11 to 11:30 a.m. Saturdays. Call 879-0240.

Perry-Mansfield prepares for summer programs

Square dance club starts new beginners class

The Green Ridge Mountaineers Square Dance Club is starting a new class for beginning square dancers at 7 p.m. Fridays through Feb. 6.
