Totally against ... unless
I am totally against President Bush's immigration reform proposal, unless it facilitates more help at the Department of Motor Vehicles in Steamboat. Maybe if they hire immigrants, it will help with the overcrowding, long lines and the fact that the office never seems to be open.
Bush compassionate
I support the president. As he said when he ran, President Bush is a compassionate conservative. He showed it with his immigration reform proposal.
Accept consequences
Oh, please, let's see if I've got this right. Marcus Williams lied. He broke the law. He drove drunk and risked others' lives. For this we should pay you $49 million? Do we even have to ask why our world is so messed up? Do grow up and accept the consequences of your actions. Maybe our children can learn from you.
Problems run deep
Thank goodness Marcus Williams didn't get elected to the City Council. The man puts down "nothing of significance" on a liquor license application when asked if he had a record. Two DWAI's in Colorado within seven years aren't significant? Especially when applying for a liquor license? Not only that, but to then say to turn down a jazz bar is "bad karma, and I assure you it will bring bad karma to everyone" makes me think that drinking while driving isn't the only problem here. If you want good karma, Marcus, open a jazz bar in Nepal.
Saved of bad karma
The only bad karma would have been if the city gave Mr. Williams a liquor license.
