Oak Creek resident Edna Eileen O'Neal passed away Dec. 31, 2003, at her home. She was 68.
Eileen was born Sept. 2, 1935, to Wayne and Lou O'Neal in Lewiston, Idaho. She grew up in Denver and graduated from Denver East High School in 1953.
She furthered her education in Rifle and Gunnison.
For 20 years, Eileen worked for the federal government as an executive secretary. Beginning in 1977 she worked with many law firms as a secretary, and she also ran her own business as a legal transcriber.
She moved to Oak Creek in 1990 and actively involved herself in the community, in part through her role as a member of the Ladies Auxiliary Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3311.
Eileen was loving and devoted to her family. She enjoyed traveling, animals, researching her genealogy, rooting for the Denver Broncos and working on crossword puzzles.
She is survived by two daughters, Susan Sassano of Durant, Ind., and Michelle Ross of Cedar Ridge; a son, Bill Jackson of Oak Creek; a sister, Lee O'Neal of Oak Creek; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
