Elections

Petitions to run for mayor or town trustee for the Oak Creek and Yampa town boards are available at the Oak Creek and Yampa town halls. In Oak Creek, three trustee positions and the mayoral position are open. In Yampa, five trustee positions and the mayoral position are open. Those interested in holding office must be 18 years or older and must live within the town where they are running. To run, a person must get 10 signatures and turn in his or her petition by March 5.

Monday, March 1

n The Toponas Public Library is open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

n The Yampa Public Library is open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

n The South Routt Medical Center is open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Call 736-8118 for appointments.

Tuesday, March 2

n The weight support group meets at 1 p.m. at the Yampa Public Library.

n The Community Play Group meets from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m.

n The LIFT-UP Food Bank is open from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Oak Creek Mini-Storage building, 106 Moffat Ave.

n The Yampa Valley Craft Guild meets from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Yampa Public Library.

n The Oak Creek Public Library is open from 3 to 7 p.m.

n The Yampa Public Library is open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Wednesday, March 3

n The Yampa Public Library is open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Story hour is at 10 to 11 a.m.

n A toddler playgroup meets from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Yampa Public Library.

n The South Routt Medical Center is open from 9 a.m. to noon. Call 736-8118 for appointments.

n The Oak Creek Public Library is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

n Consultation for age-related vision loss or any other disability is available in South Routt at the Community Center at noon.
