Steamboat senior hosting 3-on-3 basketball tourney
Steamboat Springs senior Devin Borvansky is hosting a 3-on-3 basketball tournament as part of his senior project at the Steamboat Springs High School.
Borvansky, a senior starter for the Sailors, is organizing the tournament to help him learn how to fund-raise.
All profits from the March 20 tournament will benefit the Chris Stillwell family. Stillwell's son, Tanner, is a member of the Steamboat basketball program.
The cost to enter the half-court, self-officiated tournament is $45 per team. The final game will be called by officials.
There will be two, 8-minute halves with a 3-minute halftime.

The Potter's Wheel offers painting class Tuesday
A one-stroke painting class taught by Barbara Bond is offered from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at The Potter's Wheel. The cost is $65 and includes a large platter to be painted. Register by calling 879-4944.
Strings needs summer

Perry-Mansfield announces local scholarship auditions
Perry-Mansfield Performing Arts School and Camp will hold open scholarship auditions March 6 for Routt County children ages 10 and older. Dance auditions will be from 9 a.m. to noon at Northwest Ballet, 326 Oak St., with registration at 8:30 a.m. Theater and musical theater auditions are from 2 to 5 p.m. in the Steinberg Pavilion at Perry-Mansfield, 40755 Routt County Road 36, with registration at 1:30 p.m.
Dancers will participate in ballet, modern and jazz classes. Theater students should prepare two monologues, each about 2 minutes long. Musical theater students should plan to perform two contrasting songs from musical theater literature. Call 879-7125.
