Children's ice skates sought for donation
The town of Hayden Recreation Department is accepting donations for children's ice skates. Skates may be donated between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. weekdays at Hayden Town Hall. No adult sizes will be accepted.
Volunteers needed for council's docent program
The Steamboat Springs Arts Council is looking for people to volunteer for its docent program. Volunteers will receive a 12-class course of instruction during six weeks beginning mid-January. Docents are trained volunteers who work at the Depot helping to interpret and explain the various exhibitions to visitors. Call the Steamboat Springs Arts Council for an application, 879-9008.
'Support the Troops'
seeking holiday donations
Monetary and tangible donations are being sought for the "Support the Troops" holiday drive. Tax-deductible donations may be sent to the Yampa Valley Community Foundation, P.O. Box 774965, Steamboat Springs, CO 80477. "Support the Troops" should be written on check memo lines. Tangible donations may be dropped off at Steamboat Real Estate Inc. or Prudential Steamboat Realty.
