Yampa-Egeria Museum hours change for holidays

The Yampa-Egeria Museum will be open special hours during the holiday season. The museum will be open from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesdays and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. weekends. The museum has an extensive collection of turn-of-the-century Christian Christmas cards. Admission is free. Call 638-4480. On Christmas Eve, Santa Claus will be at the museum at 6:30 p.m. to give out bags of candy while the museum provides refreshments and Christmas music.

Pilot & Today seeking teens for Style section

The Steamboat Pilot & Today is looking for writers, photographers and graphic artists ages 13 to 18 to contribute to the monthly Teen Style section. Pilot & Today seeking members for Ed Board

The Steamboat Pilot & Today is accepting letters of interest from community representatives interested in serving on the newspaper's Editorial Board. The community representatives would serve a four-month term from Jan. 1 to April 30.

The Editorial Board includes two community representatives and four members of the newspaper staff. The Editorial Board formulates the Our View opinions expressed on the ViewPoints page of the newspaper.

Readers interested in serving on the Editorial Board should send a letter of 500 words or less expressing their interest in the board to Stanford at sstanford@steamboatpilot.com or at P.O. Box 774827; Steamboat Springs, CO 80477. Letters also may be dropped off at the Pilot & Today office at 1901 Curve Plaza. Nominations are due Dec. 24.

Permits available to cut firewood, Christmas trees

Permits to cut firewood and Christmas trees in the Routt National Forest are available from the U.S. Forest Service visitors' center at 925 Weiss Drive. Firewood permits are $20 and allow gathering up to two cords of firewood. People may buy multiple permits and one permit is necessary for every pickup or trailer-load of wood removed from the forest. Christmas tree permits are $10 per tree. Call 870-1870.
