Friday, Dec. 10

1:59 a.m. A burglar alarm sounded at a business in the 500 block of South Lincoln Avenue. A door reportedly had been left open, but nothing has been reported missing.

3:46 a.m. A physical altercation reportedly occurred between a man and a woman in the 2000 block of Village Inn Court. The two reportedly were intoxicated, and the woman was taken to Yampa Valley Medical Center for tests. The situation is under investigation.

6:25 a.m. A car's engine reportedly caught fire on Routt County Road 27. The driver left the vehicle and headed to work. Meanwhile, flames engulfed the car. The driver received a summons to appear in court for leaving the scene.

7:22 a.m. Parked cars reportedly were blocking the roadway in the 36000 block of AprÃs Ski Way.

7:28 a.m. A resident in the 300 block of Third Street reportedly pushed snow onto a neighbor's property.

7:56 a.m. A two-vehicle noninjury accident was reported near Angler's Drive and U.S. Highway 40.

8:25 a.m. A vehicle that was used for a float in the Hayden High School Homecoming parade reportedly was abandoned on C.R. 51B.

12:19 p.m. A person reportedly came out of a business in the 1800 block of Central Park Drive to find that another car had hit the person's sport utility vehicle and left the scene. The SUV had minor damage.

1:22 p.m. A cable TV line reportedly fell onto a delivery truck in the 900 block of Lincoln Avenue.

1:57 p.m. A fox reportedly ran into a residence and hid under a bed in the 21000 block of Colorado Highway 131.

2:52 p.m. An ambulance was requested for a man who collapsed at a business in the 3000 block of Lincoln Avenue. The man later died at Yampa Valley Medical Center.

4:08 p.m. A driver reportedly used obscene gestures while passing another car on U.S. 40 near Hayden.

4:12 p.m. A person reportedly came out of a business near 12th and Yampa streets to find minor damage to the person's car door, which would not open. The person reportedly had seen several people leaning on the car earlier.

5:19 p.m. A backpack was reported stolen from a car parked in an underground lot in the 2000 block of Village Inn Court.

6:44 p.m. A vehicle reportedly backed into a parked car in the 2500 block of Village Drive.

8:41 p.m. A man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol on Colo. 131 in Phippsburg.

9:15 p.m. Snowboarders reportedly were shoveling snow onto the steps of a business in the 2000 block of Golf Course Road. The snowboarders were cited for trespassing.

11:40 p.m. A taxi reportedly hit a parked car in the 2000 block of Snow Bowl Plaza.
