Steve and Joanne Downes: Grateful residents

We would like to thank all the wonderful people who came to our assistance on Routt County Road 129 on Nov. 27 when our car skidded off the road and overturned. You helped free us from the car, provided blankets and gave us much-needed support while we were waiting for the ambulances. We do not know your names, but we will never forget your kindness. We also want to thank the North Routt and Steamboat ambulance crews and the staff at Yampa Valley Medical Center for their expert attention. Steamboat Springs is most fortunate to have such caring people and state-of-the-art facilities in times of crisis.
