Michael Herbert earns academic scholarship

Michael Herbert, a graduate of Steamboat Springs High School, received an academic scholarship, engineering award and a Lutheran Heritage Award from Valparaiso University in Indiana. Herbert was awarded the academic scholarship for his exceptional high school achievement; the engineering award for his demonstration of special talents and intent to enroll in engineering courses; and the Lutheran Heritage Award for being an active member of a Lutheran congregation.

Herbert is the son of Scott and Janis Herbert of Steamboat.

Andrea Len accepted

to nursing school

Andrea Len, a 2002 graduate of Steamboat Springs High School, has been accepted to the University of New Mexico's College of Nursing. Len, a junior, was named to the school's dean's list for the spring semester of 2004 for maintaining a grade point average of 3.5 or higher.

Lockhart graduates from Dartmouth

Lindsay Lockhart, a graduate of Christian Heritage School, graduated from Dartmouth College with a bachelor's degree in economics. Lockhart minored in English and religion. She has accepted employment with Alliance Group, a strategic planning consulting company in Boston.
