'Dog Days of Summer' contest for children
The Routt County Humane Society is sponsoring a "Dog Days of Summer" picture and writing contest for children ages 5 to 12. Photographers can use other objects or props in their pictures, but are asked to make sure nothing touches the dog sculpture. In the writing contest, children can write a story -- no longer than two pages -- about a day in the life of one of the dogs.
Entries can be mailed to RCHS, P.O. Box 772080, Steamboat Springs, CO 80477 or photos can be e-mailed to Maggie@midalink.net.
