That's one of the dumber questions I have ever heard. The thing is a fire whistle, not a toot for Steamboat. Give me a break. The answer to the question is no.
Thanks City Council
I would like to thank the City Council for working with Triple Crown to grow their tournaments here this summer. It allows the thousands of us working in hospitality, lodging and retail to make a living during the summertime.
Thanks Triple Crown
Thank you Triple Crown. Thanks for the great summer of baseball. Thanks for the opportunity to see families having fun together and enjoying our community. Thanks for all your support for our local kids. Let's do more and more every year. Thank you Triple Crown.
CDOT paved Lincoln Avenue in three days. The city has been dinking around with Pine Grove Avenue for what, three weeks? And what about all that excess gravel left along the side of the road. While you're at it, can you find any larger chip seal? That big stuff is really good for keeping the bicyclists off the road.
What? 200-gallon unlined gasoline tanks, pesticides and herbicides, lubricants and solvents all within a critical zone of influence of Steamboat's primary groundwater drinking source? And Mountain West has been operating on this site on a special use permit that expired in 1996? I sure hope the city and county decide to follow up on this one.
How can the newspaper not be neutral because of Mallard Fillmore? Apparently those offended by the hilarious cartoon don't read the columns above it. A newspaper would be boring if it never printed the opinions and viewpoints of interesting people. Bruce Tinsley is funny and so are some of the columnists who contribute to the rest of the page. It's called "Comment & Commentary, ViewPoints" Not "Steamboat Pilot & Today's Views and Political Affiliation." Maybe you should suggest a witty political cartoonist who leans a different direction that could run alongside Mallard Fillmore.
