7:34 a.m. The theft of $100 from a cash drawer was reported in the 2300 block of AprÃs Ski Way. Police are investigating the incident.
9:18 a.m. A previous assault was reported in the 400 block of Lincoln Avenue. A woman leaving a restaurant during the weekend said she was sexually assaulted after she left. Police are investigating the incident.
10:55 a.m. A suspicious incident was reported at the intersection of Oak and Ninth streets. An older man was lying in the middle of the westbound lane of Oak Street. Police responded and got the man to move.
2:01 p.m. A previous offender reportedly pawned a .22-caliber rifle at a shop in downtown Steamboat Springs. The pawnshop owner did not realize the person had a previous felony or domestic violence charge at first, but later reported the incident to police, who are investigating it.
2:52 p.m. Fraud was reported in the 400 block of South Lincoln Avenue, where a man was applying for a job. When the business owner stepped out of the office for a few minutes, the man reportedly made a lot of 1-900 phone calls. The business owner learned of the calls after getting a phone bill. Police are investigating.
3:58 p.m. A motor vehicle accident was reported in the 1400 block of Pine Grove Road. There were no injuries.
4:33 p.m. Illegal dumping was reported on U.S. Highway 40, near the Mount Werner exit. A box of tacks or nails that looked sharp was dropped on the road. Police cleaned it up.
4:46 p.m. A man in a car reportedly took photographs of a boy on a street in Craig; the father of the boy started following the man's car, worried the incident could have been an attempted child abduction. Police pulled the man over at the intersection of Lincoln Avenue and 12th Street, and the man said he was a property appraiser. He showed police digital photos of houses, and none contained a child, so police determined the concerns were unfounded.
7:20 p.m. A suspicious incident was reported in the 1400 block of South Lincoln Avenue, where water was coming from the roof of a house. It later was determined that outdoor sprinklers were on.
7:56 p.m. Shots reportedly were fired southwest of Yahmonite5
Street. Police were unable to locate the source of the noise.
10:13 p.m. Fireworks reportedly were shot off in the Sanctuary neighborhood. Neighbors complained that it was an ongoing problem. Police responded, talked with juveniles in a car and determined they did not have fireworks.
