Man arrested in dispute with his brother-in-law

A 59-year-old Steamboat Springs man was arrested Monday after allegedly ramming his vehicle into a pickup that held his brother-in-law and several children.

William Edward Neish was arrested on suspicion of criminal mischief and menacing, which are felony charges, as well as reckless endangerment, third-degree criminal trespass, reckless driving, child abuse and harassment.

Neish and his brother-in-law arrived at Neish's parent's house on Routt County Road 18, and a verbal argument ensued when Neish asked the brother-in-law to leave, said Routt County Sheriff Department Undersheriff Dan Taylor. The parties got into their cars, and Neish allegedly ran his car into his brother-in-law's truck.

No one was hurt, Taylor said. Neish was taken to jail with a $5,000 bond, but bonded out and is scheduled to appear in county court Aug. 25.

Ski Corp. winter job fair will be held Tuesday.

Managers from most areas of the ski resort, including lift operations and food and beverage departments, will be conducting on-the-spot interviews with potential employees. Job fair attendees are strongly encouraged to bring a resume and/or work experience details.

The job fair is from noon to 7 p.m. in the Priest Creek Ballroom at the Steamboat Grand Resort Hotel. The fair will allow interested people to apply early for any position offered. All current open positions at the resort, including year-round and seasonal, also will be posted at the job fair. Refreshments will be served.

RDOGS hosting meeting at 6 p.m. Aug. 18

RDOGS stands for Responsible Dog Ownership Group of Steamboat and was formed out of a strong response to recent renewed enforcement of the leash laws on trails and parks around Steamboat. The group has scheduled a meeting for 6 p.m. Aug. 18 in Centennial Hall, Room 113.
