Longtime Steamboat Springs resident Joseph Thomas Mangione passed away April 19, 2004. He was 53.
Joe was born May 24, 1950.
He was an avid hunter and angler who enjoyed life to its fullest. He spent much of his time working as a roofer but spent a considerable amount of time helping his friends and those who surrounded him.
Joe was a wonderful husband, father and friend to all who knew him. He lived in Steamboat for 35 years and touched the lives and hearts of many people.
He is survived by his three children, Sara House, Carrie Mangione and Nick Mangione; and two brothers, Larry Mangione of Ventura, Calif., and Thomas Mangione of Newton, Mass.
A memorial service was held Saturday at Yampa Valley Funeral Home.
