12:45 a.m. A resident called to complain that six to eight people reportedly were acting drunk just outside her home in the 400 block of Eaglepointe Drive. She said she just "wanted them to shut up and go home."

7:44 a.m. A man reported that he had given a check to the owners of a dog that he considered buying in Phippsburg. When he decided not to buy the dog, its owners said they would destroy the check. Instead, the reporting party said they cashed it.

10:49 a.m. A civil dispute was reported in the 1200 block of Lincoln Avenue.

11:34 a.m. Two vehicles in the 300 block of Lincoln Avenue were reported swerving and trying to hit each other, with the drivers throwing trash at each other. The Steamboat Springs Police Department could not locate the vehicles.

1:50 p.m. A resident in the 2000 block of Burgess Creek Road reported receiving an e-mail that offered to sell heroin, gay slaves, rocket fuel and child pornography.

2:55 p.m. A fight was reported at the corner of Eighth and Oak streets. No one was injured and no charges were filed.

4:19 p.m. A vicious dog was reported in the 3000 block of Apres Ski Way.

4:34 p.m. A spa in the 2200 block of Village Drive reported having a metal yard ornament taken the previous night. The ornament was shaped like a flower.

4:52 p.m. A white sport utility vehicle was reported speeding through the Pamela Lane neighborhood.

4:55 p.m. A dog bit a community service officer near the intersection of Deerfoot Avenue and Merritt Street.

6:11 p.m. A resident called about a neighbor yelling at a child in the 1200 block of South Lincoln Avenue.

6:47 p.m. A White Dodge pickup reportedly was blocking the southbound lane on River Road.

7:07 p.m. A two-vehicle accident was reported in the 100 block of Lincoln Avenue. No one was injured.

7:12 p.m. A 24-year-old woman reportedly was passed out in the lobby of the Sheraton. An ambulance was called, but the woman was OK.

7:40 p.m. Theft was reported; $1,000 allegedly was taken from a chest of drawers in an employee's room at the Hampton Inn on South Lincoln Avenue.
