Division of Wildlife offers hunter education class
The Colorado Division of Wildlife will offer a hunter education class from 6:30 to 9 p.m., Sept. 23-26, and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sept. 27, at Colorado Mountain College. The cost of the course is $10. Call 870-4444.
Children's Bible study class begins Sept. 24

Youth chorale seeks
talented young singers
Columbine Youth Chorale is seeking talented young singers. The children's choir is open to all interested youths ages 8 to 14; no experience is necessary. The group meets from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesdays at the Methodist Church. The choir will present a Christmas program Dec. 13 in collaboration with the Steamboat Springs Youth Orchestra. Call 879-1996.
Tickets on sale for Saturday's Literary Sojurn
Tickets are on sale for the 11th annual book lovers' Literary Sojourn to be held Saturday at the Sheraton Steamboat Resort. Five critically acclaimed and award-winning authors are featured in this year's festival: Tim Cahill, Alexandra Fuller, Maxine Hong Kingston, Gus Lee and Colum McCann. Tread of Pioneers offers
The Tread of Pioneers Museum offers "Tread" treasure hunts for children. Whenever children visit the museum to tour with their parents, they will be given a map and clues to finding interesting pieces of historical information in the museum. When they've answered the questions on their treasure hunt, they can pick a prize.
"Bust of Steamboat"

Sponsorships are open for the 2003 "Bust of Steamboat," a fund-raiser for the Yampa Valley Breast Cancer Awareness Project. Sponsors donate $200 and in return receive a bra to decorate and two tickets to an Oct. 24 dinner where the decorated bras will be auctioned off. Call 871-7300 to become a sponsor or make a donation.
Eleanor Bliss Center
now closed on Mondays
The Eleanor Bliss Center for the Arts at the Depot is changing business hours and is now closed on Mondays. Both the gallery and offices will be open Tuesdays through Fridays, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The gallery will be open Saturdays and Sundays, noon to 4 p.m.
