Man injured, arrested after rollover accident

Steamboat Springs An 18-year-old man was taken to the hospital and arrested on suspicion of drunken driving after rolling his vehicle along Routt County Road 36 Tuesday night.
Joseph A. Yurga, of Parker, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol, minor in consumption of alcohol, careless driving and having no proof of insurance.
Colorado State Patrol Trooper Kirk Gardner said Yurga was leaving the Strawberry Park Hot Springs with three passengers in a 1992 GMC Yukon when the accident happened about 10:42 p.m.
The vehicle was moving too fast for the wet, rainy conditions, Gardner said, and came around a left-hand turn with too much speed. The vehicle fishtailed, spun 180 degrees and rolled three-quarters of a time before landing on its passenger side.
The driver, Yurga, was the only person injured and was taken to the hospital with cuts and lacerations to his side.
No one was wearing a seat belt, Gardner said. The Yukon was severely damaged.
After seeking treatment at the Yampa Valley Medical Center, Yurga was taken to the Routt County Jail, where he posted the $120 bond and was released early Monday morning.
