Allard aide to hold Senate office hours in Steamboat
U.S. Senator Wayne Allard's Area Representative Derek Wagner will conduct Senate Office Hours in Steamboat Springs from 2 to 3 p.m. Sept. 15 at the Routt County Courthouse annex.
"I want to extend an invitation to anyone in Steamboat Springs, Hayden, Oak Creek, Yampa and Routt County who is experiencing a problem with the federal government or would like to pass along an opinion on a current issue before the U.S. Senate, to stop by and visit with Derek Monday afternoon," Allard said. "No appointment is necessary."

Health and Rec taking entries for swim lessons
The Steamboat Springs Health and Recreation Association will offer morning and afternoon fall swim lessons beginning Monday and running through Sept. 26. Call 879-1828, Ext. 22 to register.
Eleanor Bliss Center
now closed on Mondays
The Eleanor Bliss Center for the Arts at the Depot is changing business hours and will be closed Mondays beginning next week. The gallery and offices will be open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Tuesdays through Fridays, and noon to 4 p.m. weekends.
Arts vendors sought
for Fall Foliage Festival
Arts and crafts vendors are being sought for the third annual Fall Foliage Festival will be held Sept. 20 in Torian Plum Plaza. Call 879-9008 for an application.
Community blood drive scheduled for Sept. 18
A community blood drive will be held from 12:30 to 6 p.m. Sept. 18 at Yampa Valley Medical Center. To schedule an appointment, call 879-2081.
"Bust of Steamboat"
sponsorships are $200
Sponsorships are open for the 2003 "Bust of Steamboat," a fund-raiser for the Yampa Valley Breast Cancer Awareness Project. Sponsors who donate $200 will in receive a bra to decorate and two tickets to an Oct. 24 dinner, where the decorated bras will be auctioned. Call 871-7300.
Arts Council accepting show applications
The Steamboat Springs Arts Council is accepting applications from Colorado artists for a one-person or small group show at the Eleanor Bliss Center for the Arts at the Depot. Exhibit dates are Feb. 13-March 21. Dates for private exhibits in the Small Works Gallery will be determined in August. E-mail arts@steamboatspringsarts.com or call 879-9008 for entry guidelines. Proposals must be received by Oct. 1.
Pee Wee Adventures
registration opens Sept. 11
Registration opens Sept. 11 for Pee Wee Adventures, a recreation-based program for toilet trained 2.5- to 5-year-olds. The group meets from 9:15 to 11:45 a.m., Tuesdays and Thursdays, Oct. 2-April 15. The cost is $10 per day. Call 879-4300.
Museum wants copies
of historic wedding photos
The Tread of Pioneers is creating a Routt County wedding album to add to its wedding exhibit. People with copies of photos or stories about historic weddings that they would like to share with the museum and the public are asked to call Candice at 879-2214. The information and photos will be added to the Routt County Collection Archive after the exhibit.
Spaces available in preschool program
The second year of My School Parents Group/Preschool has six spaces available for the coming school year for 3- to 5-year-old preschoolers. This is a low-cost preschool alternative with a required time commitment from each family. Call 871-4647.
