8:35 a.m. A resident complained that many cars were parked near a home in the 3000 block of Willow Brook Court and that the cars were blocking the driveway. A Steamboat Community Service officer went to the area to help resolve the situation.

10:28 a.m. Police responded to a suicide attempt in the 100 block of Mountain Village Circle. The man was armed with a steak knife, but the police were able to disarm him and get him mental help.

11:05 a.m. A search was called for a lost hunter in California Park near Sugar Loaf Mountain. The man had gotten lost the day before and spent the night out in the woods. Officials were concerned because the man was reported to be 5'9" and 275 pounds and a diabetic who did not have any insulin with him. Routt County Search and Rescue and a helicopter were preparing to search for the man, but about two hours after the report was made, a U.S. Forest Service employee found the man.

12:43 p.m. Two juveniles were thought to be shoplifting at City Market. The juveniles were detained, and an incident report was taken.

3:22 p.m. A forgery was reported at a business in the 800 block of Lincoln Avenue.

3:50 p.m. A two-vehicle, noninjury accident was reported near the intersection of Eighth Street and Lincoln Avenue.

5:01 p.m. A woman called the police to say her aunt had taken her 20-month-old child from her home in the 2900 block of West Acres Drive. The aunt took the child two weeks ago, the woman said, and went to Arizona. The report is being investigated.

5:06 p.m. A bow and arrow reportedly were stolen from the back of a truck sitting in the City Market parking lot. The bow and arrow were reported to be worth $1,200.

11:51 p.m. Residents reported that lights were on in their business on East Maple Street. The residents also reported that their daughter was missing.
