Pottery sale this weekend at the Depot Art Center
Steamboat Clay Artisans is holding pottery sale at the Depot Art Center from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. Locally made pottery and sculptures by 30 clay artisans from the Steamboat area will be on display.
Among the artists participating in the show are Julie Anderson, Deb Babcock, Sue Binsfeld, Frank Bradley, Annie Chrietzberg, Jody Elston, Eva Hansen, Jonathan Kaplan, Rosie MacDonald, Anita Pajon, Eve Partridge, Barb Paulekas, Patti Retz, and Mo Valenta. A portion of each sale will be donated to the SCA to offset expenses of programs such as the Soup Bowl Supper. Call Deb Babcock at 846-9349.
Hunter's Revival will be
at First Baptist Church
A Hunter's Revival will begin Friday and continue through Oct. 20, at First Baptist Church in Hayden. The meetings will be held at 7 p.m. each evening except Sunday, when they will be held at 10 and 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.
The Rev. Jerry Cook and the Rev. Max Graves Jr. are pastors from Southern California who come to Colorado each year to hunt. The church is at 185 N. Second St., at the corner of Lincoln Avenue in Hayden.

Dance theater holding winter concert auditions
Steamboat Dance Theatre will hold auditions for its 32nd annual winter concert today at the Northwest Ballet studio, 326 Oak St. Sign-in will be at 3 p.m., warm-up is at 3:30 p.m. and auditions are at 4 p.m. The audition fee is $10, which includes an annual Steamboat Dance Theatre membership. The concert will take place March 4, 5 and 6 at Steamboat Springs High School. Call Jayne at the Depot Art Center 879-9008.
Kiwanis Club to hold
The Steamboat Kiwanis Club will hold its annual Senior Extravaganza at 6 p.m. Oct. 24 at Olympian Hall. This year's theme is "The Wild, Wild West," and participants are encouraged to dress up in their best Western costumes.
Seniors are invited to the free event, which is held to honor and thank them. A gourmet, three-course Western meal will be followed by entertainment, games and prizes. Advanced registration is required; call 879-5058.
Advocates new volunteer
training session is Tuesday
The new volunteer training session for Advocates Against Battering and Abuse will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday.

'Music for the Fun of It' offered at Hayden school
The Hayden school music department has started "Music for the Fun of It," a program designed to make music approachable to all people, regardless of musical experience. A six-week guitar class for beginning and intermediate students will be offered from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesdays, beginning Oct. 8, in the Hayden High School band room.
The cost is $30 for the course. Lesson books will be available for purchase at the first lesson. The class is open to ages 10 and older; enrollment will be limited to 15 students. Call 276-3761 to register.
