Sunday, Sept. 28

Karyn Elizabeth Hill, 43, Steamboat Springs -- DUI, left scene, unsafe backing, failed to notify police (Steamboat Springs Police Department)

Monday, Sept. 29

Shad Ronald Sills, 36, Steamboat Springs -- Harassment, false imprisonment (SSPD)

Thursday, Oct. 2

Richard Allen Darson, 20, Steamboat Springs -- DUI, DUI per se, minor in possession, theft, burglary (SSPD)

Friday, Oct. 3

3:17 a.m. The first of several calls came in about shots being fired near the 32900 block McKinnis Creek Road. The shots were unfounded.

3:37 a.m. A male driver reportedly left the Kum & Go on Lincoln Avenue without paying for gas. Police caught up with the driver and found he was highly intoxicated and there was a warrant for his arrest. He was arrested on four charges.

9:58 a.m. A gas skip was reported at the Kum & Go in Hayden. The driver was not found.

2:13 p.m. A man in his 40s reportedly attempted to steal a bottle of OxyContin from a storage area in Lyon Drug but was caught. The owner did not want to press charges because the man had a dependency on the drug and needed rehabilitation rather than retribution.

3:46 p.m. A drunken driver was reported driving westbound on Lincoln Avenue near Cook Chevrolet, but police could not locate the driver.

4:33 p.m. A girl with a learner's permit attempted to pull out of Central Park Drive onto Mount Werner Road when she realized traffic was coming and stopped. The car behind her apparently did not see her and rear-ended her car.

11:20 p.m. A person in a parked car in the Brooklyn area was suspected of dealing drugs by a nearby resident, but police found he was not dealing anything.
