Bud Werner Library
selling children's bags
Bud Werner Memorial Library is offering sturdy, children-sized book bags that are embroidered with the message, "Take me to the library!" For a personal touch, names can be embroidered on the backs of the bags. Samples of the bags, which make a perfect holiday gift for young readers, are available at the library. The bags cost $12.50 each, with all proceeds benefiting the library.
Salvation Army looking for volunteer bell-ringers
Bell-ringers are needed for the local Salvation Army's annual Christmas Kettle Campaign. The campaign runs until Dec. 24. One- or two-hour shifts are available at selected sites Thursday and Friday evenings, weekends and every day during the week of Christmas. Money goes to meet emergency needs of Routt County families. Christmas in the Rockies scheduled for Dec. 6
Hayden's Rocking 'A' Artisans Craft Bazaar is Dec. 13 at 148 S. Walnut St.
Crafters should call 276-4866 or 276-1807 for information. The fee is $25 per adult booth and $5 for a card table for students younger than 13.
This is a fund-raiser for the Rocking 'A' Scholarship program.
Adult basketball, soccer leagues to meet Dec. 9
The City of Steamboat Springs Parks, Open Space and Recreation will host meetings for Adult Basketball and Coed Indoor Soccer Leagues on Dec. 9.
The meetings are for all captains or those looking to get on a team. The basketball meeting is at 5:30 p.m., and the soccer meeting is at 6:30 p.m. Information on league fees, season schedule, rules and registration will be provided. Call 879-4300.
