1:28 a.m. A pickup was reported getting dyed diesel fuel from a back pump at a gas station in the 1600 block of 13th Street. That type of diesel fuel is permitted only for farm and construction equipment, so an officer who saw the truck contacted the driver. The officer plans to issue a citation.

9:21 a.m. A suspicious incident was reported in the 36000 block of Tree Haus Drive. A report was taken.

9:36 a.m. A two-vehicle, noninjury accident was reported at the intersection of Walton Creek Road and U.S. Highway 40. One vehicle was in the center turn lane preparing to turn onto Walton Creek Road and the second couldn't stop and rear ended the first. A citation was issued.

10:03 a.m. A vehicle left in a parking lot in the 2800 block of Elk River Road reportedly was hit by another vehicle. Police have not located the vehicle that caused the accident, but some red paint was transferred to the parked vehicle.

10:20 a.m. A Colorado Mountain College student reported some items stolen from his vehicle the night before when it was parked near Hill Hall. A compact disc case with about 95 CDs, a pair of snowboard boots and a down sleeping bag were taken. The student said the vehicle was locked.

11:27 a.m. A one-vehicle, noninjury accident was reported. A sport utility vehicle driving eastbound on South Lincoln Street reportedly slid about 150 feet off the right shoulder of the road, hitting a state information sign. Police helped the driver get her car out, and then issued her a ticket.

12:39 p.m. An officer was requested at the intersection of Routt County roads 31 and 27. A report was taken.

5:50 p.m. A dog bite complaint was made at the Steamboat Ski Touring Center. A report was taken.

6:36 p.m. A non-injury accident was reported on the westbound ramp onto U.S. Highway 40 at the Mount Werner exit.

10:22 p.m. A resident assistant at Colorado Mountain College thought marijuana was being burned. The resident assistant contacted a student and searched his room, reportedly finding a small amount of marijuana. Police responded and seized some marijuana and drug paraphernalia. They issued a court summons for the student.
