Craft bazaar scheduled

for Dec. 13 in Hayden

Hayden's Rocking "A" Artisans Craft Bazaar is Dec. 13 at 148 S. Walnut St.

Crafters should call 276-4866 or 276-1807 for information. The fee is $25 per adult booth, $5 for a card table for students younger than 13.

This is a fund-raiser for the Rocking "A" Scholarship program.

Adult basketball, soccer leagues to meet Dec. 9

The City of Steamboat Springs Parks, Open Space and Recreation will host meetings for Adult Basketball and Coed Indoor Soccer Leagues on Dec. 9.

The meetings are for all captains or those looking to get on a team. The basketball meeting is at 5:30 p.m., and the soccer meeting is at 6:30 p.m. Information on league fees, season schedule, rules and registration will be provided. Call 879-4300.

Volunteers needed to serve on focus group

Parks and Recreation youth programs are looking for people to serve in a youth programs focus group. The group will gather viewpoints and ideas to enhance the quality of programs. Participants will meet twice before the end of the school year to discuss program content, registration and concerns. Call Jennifer at 879-4300, ext. 352.

Learn how top advisers guide client investors

Wachovia Securities and Routt County United Way sponsor "Money Managers: A better way to invest," a program on how top advisers help their clients to reduce risk and increase potential returns, from 6 to 8 p.m. Dec. 4 at Cottonwood Grill.

The program is certified by the Colorado Supreme Court and hosted by David J. Gordon, CFP, CIMA and senior vice president investment officer of Wachovia Securities. Gordon is an award-winning investment adviser, former practicing attorney, faculty instructor at The Wharton School and resident of Steamboat Springs and Deerfield, Ill.

Attorneys and certified public accountants receive two hours of continuing education credit for attending the program.

Kaleidoscope accepting registration for workshops

Kaleidoscope Art Exploration for Kids is accepting registration for after-school and school-break art workshops for children ages 6 to 12. Call the Steamboat Springs Arts Council for dates, times and additional information at 879-9008.

Over-the-Hill Gang to offer scholarships to athletes

Steamboat's Over-the-Hill Gang is once again offering scholarships of up to $1,000 to athletes for their education and/or skill improvement in their area of competence. Only athletes involved in winter sports are eligible.

Applicants should be attending or be a graduate of a Routt County school or be a Routt County resident.
