Community Thanksgiving Dinner in Oak Creek

A community Thanksgiving Dinner will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Nov. 27 at the Oak Creek Community Center.

Figure Skating Club is selling homemade pies

The Steamboat Springs Figure Skating Club is selling homemade pies and cheesecake for Thanksgiving as a fund-raiser.

Sales continue through Friday. To purchase a pie or cheesecake, call Chris Sachs at 879-8100, Ext. 109, or stop by the ice rink.

Holiday bazaar to offer unique, handmade items

Holy Name Catholic Church's sixth annual Work of Human Hands Holiday Bazaar is from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and from 9 to 10 a.m. Sunday. Handmade and unique products from low-income communities from 70 countries will be available for purchase in the parish hall basement, 504 Oak St.

Salvation Army looking for volunteer bell-ringers

Bell-ringers are needed for the Salvation Army's annual Christmas Kettle Campaign. The campaign runs from Nov. 28 to Dec. 24. One- or two-hour shifts are available at selected sites Thursday and Friday evenings, weekends and every day during Christmas week.

The money goes to meet emergency needs of Routt County families.

Women's guild hosts craft sale, brunch Saturday

The Lutheran Women's Guild's annual Christmas Cupboard, Cookie, Caper and Brunch craft sale is from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the church on Amethyst Drive.

Ducks Unlimited offering silent auction Bush print

Steamboat Springs Ducks Unlimited is offering for silent auction "Winter Colors," a print by Darrell Bush. The print will be on display at Wells Fargo, and bids will be accepted until 3 p.m. Nov. 28. Call 870-0872.

Community Holiday Party is Dec. 4 at Howelsen

The 26th annual Community Holiday Party is from 6 to 8 p.m. Dec. 4 at Howelsen Hill.

The party includes tubing on Howelsen Hill, a Nativity scene, caroling, juggling elves and visits with Santa Claus. Refreshments will be served. A limited number of tubes will be available for use.

Arts Council presents

final free Friday Film

The Steamboat Springs Arts Council presents "Enlightenment Guaranteed," the final free Friday Film of the winter film series at 7 p.m. Friday in Centennial Hall. Call 879-9008.

Rocking 'A' craft bazaar to be held Dec. 13 on Walnut

Hayden's Rocking 'A' Artisans Craft Bazaar is Dec. 13 at 148 S. Walnut St.

Crafters may call 276-4866 or 276-1807 for information. The fee is $25 per adult booth, and $5 for a card table for students younger than 13.

This is a fund-raiser for the Rocking 'A' Scholarship program.
