n Colorado Mountain College offers free classes for adult learners and GED preparation to help students improve in reading, writing and math. Classes meet from 6 to 8 p.m. in Willett Hall, Room 300. Call 870 4542.

n The city of Steamboat Springs hosts adult open-gym volleyball from 7:30 to 9 p.m. at the middle school gymnasium. Cost is $3.

n Colorado Mountain College is hosting drop-in, open-gym basketball from 8 to 9 p.m. in the Bristol Gym. Free with student ID or $1 without. Call 870-4479.


n Story-times for toddlers 18 months to 3 years old will be held at 10 and 11 a.m. at Bud Werner Memorial Library.

n Grand Futures Prevention Coalition and the Routt County Tobacco Education and Prevention Partnership sponsor the first Routt County Quit Fair from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Yampa Valley Medical Center Conference Room 1 as part of The Great American Smoke Out. n The Lutheran Women's Guild's annual Christmas Cupboard, Cookie, Caper and Brunch craft sale is from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the church on Amethyst Drive.

n Routt County United Way and Vectra Bank sponsor a free community Thanksgiving dinner from 2 to 5 p.m. Nov. 27 at the Steamboat Springs Community Center.
