TUESDAY

n The annual Veterans Day breakfast is from 6 to 8:30 a.m. at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post, 924 Lincoln Ave. The meal is free, but donations are accepted.

n Story-times for toddlers 18 months to 3 years old will be held at 10 and 11 a.m. at Bud Werner Memorial Library.

n "Handling the holidays," a free program about getting through the holiday season when you are grieving the death of a loved one, is from 5:15 to 6:45 p.m. at the Visiting Nurse Association office, 940 Central Park Drive. Call 879-1632, Ext. 33.

n The Nonprofit Excellence Project hosts a workshop on grant opportunities available through the Colorado Department of Local Affairs from noon to 1 p.m. in Centennial Hall.

n The Downtown Business Association meets at noon at the Tread of Pioneers Museum Utterback House. Call 870-6778.

n A multiple sclerosis support group meets from noon to 1:30 p.m. at the Visiting Nurse Association offices, 940 Central Park Drive, Suite 101. Call 870-3232.

n Students of the North Routt Community Charter School host a community dinner at 6 p.m. Joni Moss will talk about her experiences in Vietnam. Cost is $10 for adults, $5 for children. Call 846-7353 to make a reservation.

n The Hayden Fall Sports Banquet is at 6:30 p.m. in the Hayden High School gym. Families with last names beginning with the letters A-L should bring a main dish and salad; M-Z a main dish and dessert.

n The Wayfarers play at 6 p.m. Thursday at Mahogany Ridge Brewery and Grill. Tickets, available at the Depot Art Center and at the door, are $35 and include wine- and beer-tasting, Mahogany Ridge dipping menu and auction items. Proceeds benefit the Steamboat Springs Arts Council. Call 879-9008.

n The Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club Ski Ball and Auction begins at 6 p.m. Friday at the Steamboat Grand Resort Hotel. Reservations are $125 per person or 10-person tables for $1,500. Reservations must be made by Wednesday at 879-0695, Ext. 116.
