3:16 a.m. The Steamboat Springs Police Department had a request from an inmate at the Routt County Jail to retrieve his chinchilla from a storage unit. The police did so.
8:13 a.m. A two-vehicle, noninjury accident was reported near the intersection of Fifth Street and Lincoln Avenue.
10:16 a.m. A man reportedly was driving under the influence of alcohol after arriving intoxicated at the probation office for an alcohol evaluation. The man was arrested and taken to jail.
12:05 p.m. A group of juveniles reportedly was throwing snowballs and smoking near Second and Maple streets.
2:34 p.m. A man called the police department to say he got scammed when he bought speakers from someone in a parking lot.
5:05 p.m. A customer at LIFT-UP in the 300 block of Seventh Street reportedly stole an employee's purse.
5:55 p.m. Juveniles were in the playground after dark. They were warned and advised to leave.
6:21 p.m. A $25.31 gas skip was reported at Kum & Go.
6:52 p.m. A man was reported lying in the street north of Radiator Lane. The man was said to be intoxicated. He was checked by the ambulance and taken to a nearby trailer.
7:20 p.m. A girl was reported to have left Steamboat Springs High School. She later was found downtown.
9:19 p.m. An officer was requested at a restaurant in the 900 block of Lincoln Avenue. A man was said to be too intoxicated to be in the restaurant. A police officer drove him home.
10:09 p.m. A woman staying at a motel in the 3000 block of South Lincoln Avenue said a man started talking to her in the hallway and that she was scared he would follow her to her room. The police talked to both people, and the situation was resolved.
