LIFT-UP seeks people interested in its board
LIFT-UP of Routt County is seeking people interested in being nominated to its board of directors for a three-year at-large term beginning Jan. 1. The at-large position represents people throughout Routt County, not representing any specific affiliation. The term is renewable one time at the discretion of the board. Local historic designations applications due Nov. 19
Applications for local historic designation are available in the Routt County commissioners' office in the Routt County Courthouse Annex. Completed applications are due Nov. 19 and will be reviewed by the Routt County Historic Preservation Board at its quarterly meeting Dec. 10.

Handling the Holidays grief program starts
"Handling the holidays," a free four-week program about getting through the holiday season when you are grieving the death of a loved one, is from 5:15 to 6:45 p.m. Tuesdays, Nov. 4-25, at the Visiting Nurse Association office, 940 Central Park Drive. Call 879-1632, Ext. 33.
American Association of University Women to meet
The American Association of University Women is holding its November meeting at noon Friday at the Scott Center, 550 Rollingstone Road.

Parents Night Out, sponsored by the Steamboat Springs High School EPYCS Philanthropy Club, is from 5:30 to 9 p.m. Friday at Steamboat Springs High School. For $10 per child, high school students will watch children in kindergarten through eighth grade while parents go out for the evening. Movies, pizza and lemonade will be provided.

9News Health Fair offers presentations Nov. 18
The first 9News Health Fair for teens in Steamboat Springs is at The Lowell Whiteman School gymnasium Nov. 18. Professionals in fields ranging from psychology to dentistry to massage therapy will be giving 10-minute presentations throughout the day, from 1 to 4 p.m. at the school. Blood screening won't be available at this fair. Call 879-1350.
English riding lessons offered to children
Beginning English horseback riding lessons for children will be offered from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturdays through Nov. 22, at the indoor arena at the Routt County Fairgrounds, sponsored by the Hayden Recreation Department.
