Roy "Royston" Davenport

Hayden resident Roy "Royston" Davenport died May 19, 2003, of complications from cancer. He was 47.
Royston became interested in magic at an early age and performed his first show at the age of 13. Magic was his profession from then on.
He came to Steamboat in 1987 to perform as a magician at Club Majiks.
For the past six years, Royston performed his magic through the winter season at the Best Western Ptarmigan Inn Snowbird Restaurant and Lounge.
He amazed and amused all who saw him.
Royston is survived by his wife, Marilee; one son, R.J.; a stepdaughter, Andrea Magill of Oak Harbor, Wash.; two step-grandchildren, Georgia and Jake of Oak Harbor, and an aunt and uncle, Nancy and Dean Johnson of Corvallis, Ore.
A memorial/benefit will be held June 4, 2003. The location will be announced.
