Colorado Group Realty adds owners

Colorado Group Realty has announced that brokers Penny Fletcher and Troy Brookshire have joined the company's ownership team.

Fletcher recently concluded the listing and sale of the Park Ranch. As a successful team, Fletcher and Brookshire recently listed and sold the Wyman Ranch, one of the largest single sales of its kind. Brookshire has been with Colorado Group for approximately nine years.

Fletcher left a career in the medical field to join the company approximately five years ago. Fletcher and Brookshire specialize in the listing and selling of ranch properties as well as land, residential and commercial properties.

Steamboat Village announces winners

Steamboat Village Brokers, Ltd. announced the following awards at the firm's recent yearly banquet celebration.

Arlene Zopf was recognized as the 2002 Top Producer for the firm. Zopf, a Steamboat resident since 1978, has more than 20 years of real estate experience in Steamboat. Nancy Jarchow was presented the 2002 Outstanding Service Award for her contributions to the Steamboat Village Brokers' team. Vicky Baldinger garnered the 2002 Outstanding Production Award for the Year's most significant production increase.

Sureva Towler wins writing award

Local historian Sureva Towler recently received the 2003 Colorado Authors League Essay Award for her commentary on what happens to everyday life when small town values collide with big city developers. Towler, who winters in Lawrence, Kan., writes a column, "Riding Shotgun," for The Denver Post. Her winning essay, "Next time Lock the Gate" appeared in July.
