Tara Tiedemann
Age: 23
Occupation: Sales/marketing representative, Steamboat Ski and Resort Corp.
Place of birth: Rochester, Minn.
Q: When did you move to Routt County and what brought you here?
A: A great job offer prompted me to move here last August from Bozeman, Mont.
Q: What's the biggest risk you've taken recently?
A: Jumping off a 45-foot cliff in Montana with a mandatory rock clearance.
Q: If you could have any super power, what would it be?
A: The ability to fly.
Q: If your house was on fire, what one possession would you try to save?
A: My quilt. My mom made it.
Q: What's the best piece of advice you've ever been given?
A: "Inside voice, outside energy" -- sometimes I can be a bit loud.
Q: When you meet someone new, what's the first three things you tell them about yourself?
A: Maybe it's not so much that I tell them, but they discover pretty quickly that I'm adventurous, have a ton of excess energy, and what I'm most proud of -- I'm a 'Sconny (pronounced like "Wisconsin" but without the "Wi"). So, yes, I've been ice fishing, can tell an Ole and Lena joke or two, and I've got a sweet accent.
Q: What kind of music did you listen to in high school? What kind of music do you listen to now?
A: I like just about anything ... except that "I've got a brand new pair of rollerskates" song by Melanie Safka. (I was forced to listen to it over and over again on a road trip. Never again.)
Q: If you could invite four people over for dinner, who would they be, what would you serve and what would you talk about?
A: Lance Armstrong, my sister, and a couple of friends from around town.
Serve: Sushi. (Do you think Lance likes sushi?) and margaritas -- does that go together?
Talk about: Hmm. ... There's got to be some good stories. ...
Q: In the Meatloaf song, "I'll do anything for love, but I won't do that." What is "that"?
A: Drive slow
